Afghan capital Kabul, a NATO military base in southern gate 2 a suicide car bomb attack, killing five people were injured.

It is reported that the attack occurred in Muhammad Agha district of Logar province, severalkilometers away can be heard the blast.

A Baide Logar province, said deputy police chief, "the attackers attempt to drive a vehiclecontaining the bomb into the NATO coalition military base, but the entrance was blocked, then hedetonated the bomb."

According to A Baide said initial reports indicated that three Afghan police officers and twoAfghan intelligence officers were injured in the explosion, along with many houses damaged.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the incident.

An International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, the spokesman said, has not beeninformation about the attack.
